Senior Western Zone Championship task force
From:
Brandon
Drawz
Subject: Senior Zone
Meet
As many of you
may recall, at our most recent conventionin
Chicago, the Western Zone delegation empowered a small task force
to explore and formulate ideas for the continued support and
success of the newly formed Senior Western Zone
Championship. In particular, the task
force was charged with: awarding a host for the 2010 meet,
determining the format, and coming up with general ideas on ways to
make it successful.
Although the marketing and
promotion of the Senior Western Zone Championship will be ongoing,
after a series of meetings, I’m happy to say the task force
has completed their work. The task force consisted of several
coaches and advisors from throughout our zone. The task force
consisted of coaches: Jay Benner, John Bitter, Rick Klatt, Julie
O’Neill, Jon Hayashida and Todd Marsh; athletes: Coral
Yoshiwara and Colin Eaton; and advisors: Robert Broyles and Larry
Johnson. I would like to extend specialthanks to Marilyn Loitz, our
Zone secretary, for her outstanding notetaking as well
asUSA Swimming’sstaff member Bill
Krumm, for helping to facilitate our meetings.
In addition,
Iam also happy to report the task force used $0 of the $2000
authorized for this group.
The recommendation of the
task force is as follows:
- Three day
format (see second page)
- The meet
was awarded jointly
to Clovis
Swim Club and Fresno
Dolphins
- The meet
will be at Clovis
Page two of this document
has a one page outline of the meet format and time standards. This
information will also be posted on our website at: http://www.westernzoneswimming.org
Best of luck with the rest
